It has been decided to make Monsignor Jackson’s talks available via an FMSL Blog. Please follow the link below to the blog. If you feel moved by anything you have read there, please feel free to add your own comment to the blog. May the Lord bless you and give you peace.

St Anthony’s (Bradford) Each year the Sisters organise a Greccio live Crib. In 1221 Francis of Assisi had decided to celebrate Christmas in a new and special way. He brought a real ox and ass to the altar. The Sisters enact this event in the local Church (St Anthony’s). During the Christmas Carol service, the Congregation were able to to proceed past the stable and stroke the animals while a selection of carols were sung. Each family was given a card, specially designed for the occasion and the children of the parish left gifts that would be sent to the Franciscan Mission in Peru and the Earthquake victims in Pakistan. The Sisters are also involved in bringing Communion to the sick and are part of the Parish Eucharistic Ministers list. They are involved in Ecumenical meetings with the Fraternity (other Churches) and support all the Parish activities.
