The home is situated in a quiet residential area of Burgess Hill in beautiful and well maintained grounds; however it is only a very short walk to the town centre and all associated amenities.
The home has 19 bedrooms and is owned by the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of Littlehampton, whose history of holistic care of the individual, and the dedication necessary to do so, defines the homes approach to care.
St Annes is a home which strives to meet the individual needs of our residents with respect, dignity, love and compassion. We aim to ensure that each person is respected for who they are and that their needs, wishes and wants are met in a safe, caring and thoughtful way.
St Annes is registered with the care quality commission to provide care (without nursing) to those aged 65 or over.
Each resident has a personal and individualised plan of care to ensure that all their care needs are met while ensuring that their wishes and preferences are placed at the heart of their care.A team of highly trained staff are on duty 24 hours a day and are committed to providing a high standard of individualised, person cantered care. The Homes Manager and Deputy Manager (Carol and Lisa) ensure that all staff training is current and up to date to make sure that the safety and wellbeing of our residents is central to the care we provide.
Accommodation and living areas
The home has a selection of comfortable single en suite bed rooms, all of which are fitted with a nurse call system, television and telephone points as well as personal washing facilities. These rooms are set over 2 floors and a lift provides easy access.A choice of sittings rooms, a communal dining room and the beautiful grounds offer a relaxing environment for the residents and their visitors.
The home operates a strict no smoking policy.
St Annes offers a varied menu of home cooked and freshly prepared meals. Residents are offered a choice at each meal time and individual tastes are taken into consideration when planning the menus. Our cooks are able to cater for any special diets our residents may need and work alongside the care staff to ensure that all the nutritional and hydration needs of all our residents are met.
Communal dining is encouraged but not compulsory.
The home offers a variety of activities for the residents to enjoy and while we encourage participation, everyone is free to spend their time as they wish.
While St Annes is run by a Roman Catholic order, we welcome residents of any faith or none.
The home shares the building with the Convent which currently houses five Sisters. The Convent has its own chapel which holds Mass twice a week for those who wish to attend.
The chapel is always available for individual quiet time and prayer if the residents wish.
We welcome families and prospective residents to look around the home and encourage you to drop in and see us at any time. If however, you would prefer to chat to the management team and have a more formal visit; the homes Manager or Deputy Manager (Carol or Nazreen) will be more than happy to arrange this for you.
