The home is situated at the top of the small bustling seaside town of Littlehampton. Owned by the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of Littlehampton, who have been in residence in the town for over a hundred years, and attached to their convent, the home is an integral part of the local community. There are 24 single bedrooms, some with en suite facilities. St Josephs is registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide Nursing Care to those over the age of 65.

Care
We have qualified nursing staff on duty 24 hours a day supported by a team of care assistants that are committed to providing exceptional person centred care to each of our residents. We have a philosophy that they do not live where we work, but rather that we work where they live..
Accommodation and daily life
All our rooms have a nurse call system, personal vanity area, and telephone and television connections.
Our rooms are over two floors, with lift access between the two.
The rooms can be personalised to create a ‘home from home’ with personal items of furniture and belongings such as pictures.
We have a communal dining room and several sitting areas for socialising as well as a beautiful walled garden that is perfect for alfresco afternoon tea providing the weather is kind!
Mass is part of daily life here at St Josephs, held in the Chapel here at the Convent, and all who want are invited to attend. For others there is often a game of bingo, puzzles, movies or singing groups. We are supported by visiting Chiropodist and hairdresser, and the local GP surgery have provided us with a named Doctor which facilities a more holistic management of our residents medical requirements.
Dietary Requirements
All dietary requirements can be catered for, including those that require assisted feeding.
